Great Start to Beginner Hockey
Beginner hockey started today and it was a great turnout!
Many of the kids are already good little skaters and the ones out for the first time are going to improve over the next couple of practices.

Our next practice is Tuesday October 21 @ 5pm.

Just a couple of reminders and notifications for parents.

First, most important, its great to see so many parents out to help. Please remember if you are coming on the ice you need to 1) Sign the waiver 2) Have a helmet and skates 3) Be prepared to lead a small group of kids

I think we have found our core 'coaching' staff - they will need your help over the next couple of months. Practice drills run much better with more helping hands. In the next couple of practices we will connect 'coaches' with 'helpers'. Let me know if you are interested in either role ([email protected] or 519-550-1371)

For new parents we have an 'Intro to Beginner Hockey' document you can read over.
Download the document HERE

Hockey pictures will be taken at the arena on Oct 30th and/or Nov 2nd. More details will follow on this website.

If your child is 5 years old this year they are eligible for a FREE HELMET from Chevrolet Hockey. More details here: https://www.safeandfunhockey.ca/en/helmet
This is a great program. Seriously as easy as 1)register 2) get voucher at local Chevy dealer (Simcoe or Tillsonburg) 3) take to local Sportchek and redeem for helmet. My boy is still wearing his - 2 years on a FREE HELMET.

Hopefully everyone grabbed a coloring page (or two!). Have the kids color them, snap a picture with your phone and email it to me ([email protected]) and I will post it here on our website!

Remember, Beginner Hockey is all about FUN! We will get more organized on the ice, we will play games, learn skills and have lots of FUN!
