Rockets Earn Tie Against Tillsonburg
On Thursday, November 24, at the Delhi Community Centre, the Delhi Rockets U13 LL2 battled the Tillsonburg Tornadoes to a 3-3 tie in a hard-fought contest.
The point earned for the draw moves the Rockets into a tie for fifth place in the standings with the Paris Wolf Pack 2, and extended their league unbeaten streak to five games.
Delhi opened the scoring when Wyatt Steiner scored his 8th goal of the season, assisted by Blake Robyn and Lucas Lesage. The Rockets opened a two-goal lead when Roman Sztronga scored his 2nd of the season, with Landon Farrow and Reed DeCoutere-Thompson drawing assists.
Even at 2-2 going to the third period, Landon Farrow's unassisted tally (his 10th of the year) restored Delhi's lead, but a late flurry in the final minute saw Tillsonburg tie the game.
Congratulations to Roman Sztronga, who was chosen as Delhi's Player of the Game.
