Letter from our Chairperson...
Good evening Coaches / Managers and Executive
It is with great displeasure that I must announce we have to cancel this years LL Tournament held in Delhi.
The lack of teams is the sole and only purpose.
To give everyone a recap so we are all aware, we had the following committed
Atom -- 5 teams ( 3 being Delhi )
PeeWee - 3 teams ( 2 being Delhi)
Bantam - 2 teams ( 1 being Delhi )
Midget - 4 teams ( 2 being Delhi )
So as you can see in order to make this a go we need an excess of teams for each and every division.
In reflecting on this, yes perhaps the date of the tournament is key, however, due to Christmas and New Years falling on Weekends this year it left DMHA executive no choice in altering its dates. There are no other dates in January to hold the tournament.
Going into next year I do invite any and all interested parents. coaches, managers to come and volunteer to help with this. I understand everyone is " way to busy" or do not want to join the Executive but we would welcome your help simply on the tournament committee.
DMHA executive is a very slim association with many members taking on several responsibilities just to make the year a success. We can and always will accept more help. Please see me or any executive member if you would like to help for next year.
