Well Rocket Players and Fans – It was a blast at our Season Ending Tournament in Parkhill this past weekend.
What a way to end a really Fun, Learning and Developing Season! Players and Fans were pumped - and the locals realized quickly who the Delhi Team was...
Weekend started off with a win in Game 1 vs Lambton Shores on Friday Night - and back to the Resort to swim, play and have some more fun - Bed by 9 pm!
Saturday morning with another win in Game 2 vs Ilderton and then off to the Resort, as we had our Year End Awards Ceremony. Then we got together for dinner, more swimming, mini sticks and Team building… Bed by 9 pm! Except Parents... LOL
Sunday we woke up full of energy – Ready to go for Game 3 vs Harrow – as we were in the running for 1st place in the ‘B Pool’ Which would guarantee us a fourth game! And extend our Season!!
We won our 3rd game at 9 am, which put us up against Lucan Irish for the Semi-final game @ 11 am – Game 4.
With the win in the Semi-final over Lucan, that put us in the ‘A Division Championship Game’ @ 3 pm. The last game of our 'Lil Rusty Devils' Season... Game 5 of the Tournament – we were very excited. Kids had a relaxing break, but it was a long day… 3 hard games on Sunday against tough completion – we came up short, as Mt. Brydges Cougars were strong… They had our number that game as they got out to an early lead and we could not come back.
Kids played very well, had lots of fun, and it was a successful way to end the Season as the Runner up's in a 13 Team Tournament. We are sure there were other Teams that wanted to be in our spot.
Our Goal was to work hard… focus on our positions, and Have Fun! and just trying to keep our season going... and We did it!
