The Dave's Variety Novice Rep team travelled to the North American International
SilverStick tournament this past weekend in St. Clair Shores Michigan.
The team
won their first game 4-0 against the Cambridge Hawks, won the second game 6-2
against St. Mary's Rock and lost a tough match against Aylmer Flames 4-3. Their
record was good enough to place them in 3rd place and advance to the semi finals
on Sunday morning at 8 am. The Rockets faced off against a tough Muscrat
Voyageurs team (near Ottawa) and lost a nail biter of a game 4-3. The Muscrats
went on to win the tournament.
The coaching staff are very proud of the determination, heart and soul that was shown by all players this weekend. We are proud to be 3rd place!
Big thank you to all the parents, grandparents and all the fans that travelled to cheer us on this weekend!!! What a fabulous experience for these kids!!
