Identification is required
The following is the criteria of who is eligible to vote: On Nov. 7, 2023, "a motion to accept the membership list as reviewed by the board with the criteria that 1 member per registered family as per the HCR system, rostered bench staff, current hockey moms, current officers of the board and past presidents also being considered members in their own right.
A member is entitled to one individual vote with the potential of 2 votes maximum per family as stated in our current by-laws.
This means:
1) If your child if registered to DDMHA according to the HCR system = 1 Vote per family ( In case of a split family, only the parent at the registered address of the player can vote.
2) If you are a Registered Bench Staff (Coach, Asistant Coach, Trainer) on the HCR system = 1 Vote. A Manager could be registered, if you need clarification on whether you are or not as a manager, please reach out to the registrar
3) If you are a member of the Hockey Moms = 1 Vote
4) Past President = 1 vote
5) Members of the Board = 1 Vote
Where you could have two votes : If you fall under a combination of items 2-5 above and also have a child registered under DDMHA in the HCR system = 2 Votes
Important to note – You can not cast both votes yourself, you would need to have your spouse, other legal guardian, other parent registered on the HCR to cast the second vote. You have to Declare what class of voter you are and you as an individual cannot be more than one class.
