Finalists at Jack Tolhurst Memorial Tournament
Dave's Variety Novice Rep team has a great showing in St. George
The team started out the tournament a bit slow on Friday with a 5-5 tie against Norwich and lost a tough battle 7-8 against West Lincoln. We then turned up the heat on Saturday morning with a 7-3 win against Shelburne.
The team managed to squeak through into the semi-finals with all 4 teams in the division tied. We moved on with a better goals for %.
We turned up the heat on Sunday morning and knocked Dresden out 5-4 to move on to the finals.
The team played a tough championship game but lost 6-1 to a very strong team from Aylmer.
The team put in a strong effort and all players improved and learned from this experience.
