Novice Rep - Dave's Variety, U11 (Atom), 2015-2016 (Delhi Rockets - Home on the Web)

 This past weekend, our novice rep rockets participated in the Aylmer Rep Fall Challenge tournament. After opening the tournament with an 8-4 win over Shallow Lake, our rockets were defeated 5-0 by South Kent placing us in the B Division semifinals against Mount Forest. In a closely decided game our rockets edged past the Rams in overtime by a score of 3-2. In the B finals our club faced a rematch against Shallow Lake. Trailing late in the third period 2-1 our players kept up their efforts and persistence resulting in our team scoring 3 quick goals on our way to a 4-3 victory. The coaching ...

Our Novice Rep club participated in Jack Tolhurst Memorial Tournament in St. George this past weekend and came home with a 2nd place finish.  After opening the tourney with a 7-1 win over West Lincoln, the team lost to  Aylmer in there 2nd game 7-1. Needing a victory in game 3 to give themselves a chance to make the semi finals, the boys put in an excellent effort earning a 7-0 victory over Ripley.

Our novices put in two great efforts this week resulting in a win and a loss. On Monday we travelled to Waterford to face the Wildcats and played a solid game but ran into a hot goalie resulting in a 3-2 loss. Goal scorers for us were Addison Jayne & Ryan Hale with the assists going to Christian VanDeByl, Ashton Munn, Jacob Johnstone and Ryan Hale. On Tuesday we hosted the Langton leafs and put in another outstanding effort resulting in a 6-0 win. Our Novice rep club played two games this week resulting in one win & one loss. On Tuesday the team had an outstanding effort against the Plattsville Rage coming out on top with a 7-1 victory. Goal scorers were Ashton Munn with 3, Ryan Hale with 3 and Owen McClure with 1. Assist went to Chase McCallum with 3, Ryan Hale with 2 while Mitchell VanDyk, Christian VanDeByl and Jacob Johnstone each had 1. On Thursday the team travelled to Twin Centre and came up short losing 2-0.

Delhi Daves Variety novice rep club opened there Southern Counties regular season schedule Tuesday night against the Simcoe Warriors. The boys put in a good effort but ran into a strong warriors squad losing 9-1. The lone goal scorer for Delhi Was Mason Demeulemeester with the assist going to Ryan Hale. Better luck next game boys!!!
